Medion MD1772JC, got it as a replacement for the hp 72 which couldn't be repaired. So far it's working well and the image looks nice 😀

Ask and ye shall receive. Connected to my main gaming rig via HDMI to VGA adapter. However, I need to source a better adapter and fix the cabling since the picture has a slight pink tint due to the cable not being entirely flush with the converter adapter.

I also connected it to my VHS/Blu-Ray combo the other day and once I connect my speakers, I'll definitely will watch movies on this.

From slightly diffrent angle - my "new" Sony Trinitron CPD-E100 😀
It is working. Bulit November 2000, cost me 5€ + 20 year dust layer for free. Good deal I think...

1992's TTX XGA (I got it to 1280x1024) - Not sure of the dot pitch but it is kinda blurry and changing the resolution bounces the image around. I've relegated it to my 286 (which really needs an EGA)

yyi2k8nl.jpg

This Samsung Syncmaster 3Ne for my 486 DX2/66 - Very clear and sharp image. I occasionally will use it for Photoshop work:

SjBDexYl.jpg

And 1989's DataTrain DC-509 VGA monitor that came with my 386SX. I have the original packaging and styrofoam for this one.

zB4r3kvl.jpg

Decently clear image for what it is.

I also have an NCR 17 inch in the closet, a 14" Digital XGA and another 17" TTX in original packaging that I will try to bundle with a PII system when I'm ready to sell it.

Unsure if you care or not at this point but I used to have that same monitor as a kid and just recently found the old parts list from the computer it went with from the store, it claims it is ".39 dot pitch S-VGA"

That's an excellent save. Being so new it should have a decent amount of life left in the tube. How's the picture quality of it?

Just perfect for my Windows 95 setup! The difference between Dell 1703FP and this with lower resolutions is like night and day. The picture is so crisp.

I only have two decent CRTs, the rest are meh compared to these. First is a weird Iiyama, weird in the sense that it has no manual or specs that can be found, it isn't that special but has a nice mid-late 90s aesthetic while being 20 inches viewable and 1600x1200 @70hz although it ran 1600x1200 @85hz on my 3870x2, not sure why it wouldn't 'support' that higher refresh rate on my 4870, I'm quite noob at crts.

The second is a 230sb, from what i can tell its slightly lower end than a 2070sb that gets talked about much more often, I use this quite regularly for modern games via usb c to vga (sadly can only do 1280x1024 @85hz but its enough for me).

I had to pick up a faulty hercules monochrome with possible cold solder joints in the deflection circuit, love these generic Taiwanese monochrome clones.
I was hoping for an amber type but it's the white phosphor variant. Whatever, worth a shot at repairing it.

Micron 900MX acquired at the town recycling day. Apparently it's a rebranded CTX PR960F, 2001 vintage.

19" Trinitron tube.

Back on the early 2000s I had a white 17 inch Philips monitor (107E). So for nostalgia I got a sleek black 17 inch, same tube but slightly more compact model than mine (107E5), I already saw them back in the day on my college and thought they were cool.

uRmkmg0.jpg

Nothing special, it reaches 1280x1024@60Hz, the intended resolution is 1024x768@85 but I always use it al 1152x864@75, I love the resulting slightly softened image, like a hardware based free antialiasing.

It's capable of 640x480@120, rock solid lag free refresh, which is perfect for emulating any old console with frame doubling, or lagless retro PC gaming. I don't have a high refresh rate LCD, but playing a FPS at 120 Hz on a CRT is something otherwordly, the connection between mouse movement and image movement is extremely instant and smooth, specially using a high DPI and USB poll rate mouse (Logitech G203).

It's black because it matches the overpowered small form factor XP gaming rig I've built for late-98/XP/early-Vista gaming, a Dell Optiplex 7010 with Ivy Bridge CPU and a passively cooled DDR5 Geforce GT730 (with VGA output).

D6LV3Yn.jpg

I have it connected to both the Optiplex and my modern Windows 11 machine with a KVM , it's fun to compare on same period-correct display between older more compatible OS and modern wrappers.

Recently got this 17" NEC Accusync 700 NIB off ebay. This is not my 1st attempt at getting a workable CRT as shipping adventures
and just plain worn out models are the norm it seems. No trinitron here but it's bright and clear for my needs. Does up to 1280 X 1024
at 60hz and with a 0.27 dot pitch however this is mainly used for win98/dos so it's good.

Recently I got a Samsung SyncMaster 750p for free as it had a problem, it would only show a white screen. The cause was a failed inductor, now with a new one it works nicely 😀
