I recently got an old box that I'm hoping to turn into a retro gaming box. Here's the specs:
- AOpen AX6LC Motherboard with i440LX Chipset
- 333 MHz Pentium II CPU
- 128 MB RAM
- S3 ViRGE DX graphics card with 2 MB RAM
- Generic OPTi 82C931-based sound card.

All in all, it looks like a good box to run 2D games on. I might want to replace the hard drive at some point (It has bad sectors that caused it to fail to load its pre-installed copy of Windows 98) but otherwise I should be good to go.

Nice PC 😀. You've got a great platform to play with and a lot to expand/improve. It's a good PC for early 3D as well, especially once you find a Voodoo 2 or even two of them. Good luck there!

Could you share some pics?

Iirc those early LX boards had weak power circuitry for the AGP slot, so power hungry AGP cards might give you some issues. Otherwise I kinda liked LX when I used it (had a s370 Celeron-400 rig for a year or 2 as my main (retro) rig with a PCI TNT2 M64 card and I think 192MB SDRAM).

Whats missing in your collections?
