Hey all! Just built a new PC. I used a lot of old parts (HDD, optical, fdd, etc) but I got a new motherboard and CPU as well as a cheap microATX case. I'm quite happy with it. The specs are AMD AM3 Athlon II x3 450 tri core CPU, onboard AMD graphics, a 250gb hdd, an older LG sata DVD multi drive, and a Rosewill micro-atx case. The motherboard is an Asrock, and I bought it because it had good reviews and it supported both ddr2 and ddr3. I'm probably going to upgrade it more later. I installed a fresh copy of fedora linux and it runs nice. 2zsmdug.jpg

Main: AMD FX 6300 six core 3.5ghz (OC 4ghz)
16gb DDR3, Nvidia Geforce GT740 4gb Gfx card, running Win7 Ultimate x64
Linux: AMD Athlon 64 4000+, 1.5GB DDR, Nvidia Quadro FX1700 running Debian Jessie 8.4.0

Which Rosewill is that? Looks like an FBM-01 - on mine I found adding a fan to the side panel helped quite a bit with cooling.

Also, those AMD tri-cores are nifty chips - iirc some of them can be unlocked to quad-cores too.
