My Tualatin rig wasn't getting much love, so I decided to give it a bit of a card shuffle. The aim was to build a system to be silky smooth for D3D, OpenGL, Glide, and PowerVR games from 1997ish through 2003ish.
Out went the Hercules Gametheater XP, GeForceFX 5600, and one of the Voodoo 2 cards.
In went an Aureal Vortex 2, GeForce4 Ti 4200, and a PowerVR PCX2.
The dying HDD also got swapped out, and I made an attempt at cable management.
So here are the specs:
Gigabyte 6OXT motherboard
Pentium III-S 1.4GHz
512MB PC133 SDR SDRAM
Seagate Barracuda 80GB IDE HDD
Leadtek WinFast A280 VIVO (nVidia GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB)
Creative 3D Blaster Voodoo2 12MB
Matrox M3D (NEC PowerVR PCX2)
Turtle Beach Montego II (Aureal Vortex II)
Realtek RTL-8139D 10/100 NIC
Windows 98SE, Unofficial SP3
And some pics
