I just got a new laptop earlier this month, and I'm setting up an XP VM on it for apps that won't run in the 7 host, even with the compatibility layer. DOS is handled by DOSBox, and I have no real plans for any of my older hardware atm, I *might* set up either pure MS-DOS 7.1 or Win98se on the AL440LX. Specs are shown in the AIDA report that is attached.
UPDATE: Almost got it set up and ready to be loaded, got it activated, loaded with DX9.0c, AIDA64, and the XP port of PaleMoon tonight, and CIS for the antivirus, and some games that either won't work at all or very well in 7, for example, Civ2, Civ3, AoE2, and H&D, will be loaded on it tomorrow when I get home from work.
PC hardware: Ryzen 5 4500, 32GB RAM, 1TB SN 570 Linux drive, 500GB 970 EVO Plus Windows drive, 2TB 970 EVO Plus games drive, 1TB 870 EVO extra storage drive, RX 6600 GPU, EndeavourOS/Win10 dual-boot
