As the title says,I want to use this laptop as a Longhorn machine. For those who don't know,Longhorn is the beta of Vista. The version that I plan to run on this is based on XP (most of it),and it's v4039.

Here are the specs first 😀

CPU:Intel Centrino M (Pentium M) 1.7GHz - Socket 479
HDD:20GB IBM/Hitachi,IDE interface
RAM:2GB PC2700 SO-DIMM
ODD:Toshiba DVD-ROM
LAN: Broadcom 440x
WiFi:Intel 2100 3B Mini Adapter
Bluetooth:Ambit BT adapter
GPU:ATi Radeon Mobility 9000 "M9"

As I said,I'll post some pics. Unfortunately,my phone is very low on battery,so for now,here's a desktop shot.

Firefox won't work,because of EncoderPoint. I can't fix that until I can source a reshacked .NET Server RC1 kernel32.dll file,so I had to resort to a small cute browser named Midori. Opera installer will simply not start at all.

I removed the timebomb and installed audio. Yes,frankly,this build seems to have working audio,as proven by my working AC'97 driver.

Awesome idea! I always liked the design of early Vista (and the Plex design). 😀
