It is much more a late 94 rig - the wb cpu and this board, lba wasnt available in 93. The wb l1 cache is somewhere slower, somewhere faster - but practically it is not better than the wt 486.

Hello,

i just purchased the "Longshine LCS-6941 VLB caching IDE controller". Can you please tell me how did you flashed the BIOS with the newest firmware? I have downloaded the necessary files from the "Longshine" website. I have 3 files "LCS-6941.BIN", "LCS-6941.EVN" and "LCS-6941.ODD". How can i do the update?

Thanks!
Alex

Today I finally swapped the LCS-6941 controller with TEKRAM DC-680C that arrived in the mail.

Hy Tikoellner,
I have Asus VL/I-486SV2GX4 motherboard and buy a Tekram DC-680C VLB EIDE cache controller.
I use it Tseng VLB Graphic card.
My problem: I don't see at post the cache controller's bios setup, and i cannot enter i t.
From FDD boot the system, this part of controller work
But not see the attached HDD
When i try at bios to auto detect HDD function, then there find hdd, but other what i connect, and find 2 hdd, but im attach only one.
What must set at bios to me to a possibility to go a setup program?
Thanks for any helping :R
