Perfect late dos gaming PC if you ask me!
Personally I'd add a better PCI Soundcard for windows gaming though. SB Live though to Audigy 2 ZS will all work in Win98 & XP

I have SB Live! SB0100, but I prefer ISA card for better compatibility in DOS games.

I made the computer to have 100% compatibility in windows XP, Windows 98 SE ans MS-DOS. Before I made computer on chipset intel 865G

My PC for Windows XP + Windows 98 SE + DOS

with Geforce FX 5900/6800, Pentium E5800 3.2 GHz, 2 GB RAM, SB Live!, a had a lot of problems in Windows 98 SE (even with himemx with memory limit to 512 MB RAM) and DOS, only Windows XP was working fine.

I meant install both cards, use AWE in Dos and set the Live as your primary sound device in Windows. That way you benefit from a card with a cleaner output and EAX, etc.
Of course its your system and if your happy then ignore me!

Yeh I've got a similar "modern" Win98 build only based on Socket 478 and a 6800. I've got win98 installed but it was a fight, I ended up getting the Rlowe ram patch, and in the end I still use my P3 anyway! Just feels more correct?

Am I the only one wandering why your hard drives and cd drive are not hooked up?
Also if your ram can take it Id ether run them at cl2 or set the FSB to 142mhz.

Nice system by the way

If you take a look at the POST screen photo, you'll see that everything is connected. I guess he removed the cables for better view of the motherboard.

PS:
I wish I had more s370 to Tualatin adapters... khm.. I only have one 🙁

Requests are also possible... /msg kixs

I put another memory RAM modules and overclocked sytem from 133 fsb to 150 fsb on Intel BX.

Ssytem is not very stable but it works.
