It took me quite some time to build this PC. Super socket 7 mobos are not easy to find. The case from 2002, unfortunately. But it is cheftec. Such quality cases are no longer made.
Waiting for your opinions 😊

Case ATX Chieftec DH-01
PSU Powerman 350w (+5V = 30A)
MB AT Microstar MS-5184 1mb cache (VIA MVP3)
CPU Pentium 166 MMX oveclocked to fsb100 * 2.5 = 250mhz 🤣 . AMD K6-2 300 soon.
Memory SDRAM 256mb PC133
Video RIVA TNT 2 PRO 32mb
HDD Seagate ST34313 4.3gb. CF 8GB soon.
Sound ISA Genius crystal CX4235. Sound blaster live! soon.
Also I have nice 4x speed mitsumi cd-rom drive but i haven't chieftec sliders 😖

I see you also like having lots of tabs open? 😜
It looks really clean with very basic cable management. You are missing the AT i/o shield, but those were a pain to find. Some people had reported good results using a 3D-printer, but I don't remember well enough anymore (and not everyone actually has a 3D printer).
Your Power Man PSU is really typical for a PSU during the Athlon XP era, but it would be wise to check inside the PSU for any signs of bulging caps and perhaps a dedusting. Otherwise Power Man made solid PSUs, even though I don't know that particular model.
Also keep in mind that 4x CDROM drives typically had trouble reading burned media. It went better starting at models of roughly 8x speed. How is the noise your 4x optical drive makes? I found my 2x drive to be very silent, or at least compared to the 40x decibel demons out there 🤣

What games or other programs have you tried on it yet? 😀

And welcome aboard! 😀

This powerman very noisy and i want to change it to hipro with 80mm fan (its much quiter). It's new, from intel server case. But hipro has only 21A on +5v rail. What do you think?
Mitsumi 4x reads CD-R well and it's very silent.

tomb raider1-3 , quake 2, quake 3 🤣 , kingpin life of crime.
It can even play a low-resolution divx. Pentium MMX on 100fsb is very fast 😎 . I'm not sure if it makes sense to change it to k6-2 300.

Oh. you did a good job tricking me into thinking you were using the sk7 system.

Nice case and system BTW. I'd look for a AT back plate.
I like the city skyline wallpaper too.

Socket 7 CPUs require very little current from the 5V rail.

All hail the Great Capacitor Brand Finder

Adding Voodoo1 or 2 and replacing LCD monitor with 17 or 19" CRT would make it perfect. Also CD-ROM speed of 16-32X would be more time correct. 4X is 1994 era.

Requests are also possible... /msg kixs
