hi all

i can finally say to the world, i have completed my "Vintage" pc rig for (dos - win95 era), took a while but think it the best it could be for the time

specs are :-

Motherboard - A-Trend ATC 1000+ (Socket 7)
PSU - 200W AT
Processor - Intel Penitum 133 (With Heatsink/Fan) [Upgraded to Penitum 233 MMX]
Ram - 81mb EDO [Downgraded to 64mb EDO]
Graphic card - S3 Virge DX - 4mb
3D Accelerator - Diamond Multimedia VooDoo 1 - 4mb
Sound Card - SoundBlaster 16 CT2830 [Upgraded AWE 64 Gold (with 4mb Memory Upgrade Board) CT4390]

Congrats! Looks like a great machine

It seems like your motherboard uses an Intel 430VX chipset. So even though the maximum RAM is 128MB, the cacheable limit is 64MB. You might be getting a performance hit with your 81MB.

80x1024=81920k...Assuming it's 80mb (64+16 or some variation..) you could just pull the 16mb portion to see if there's a difference.
