  • Athlon 2800+
  • Geforce FX 5200 PCI, 128MB
  • 1 GB of Ram
  • Soyo Dragon KT600 Motherboard
  • Soyo Dragon Case
  • Soundblaster Audigy
  • Purple IDE Cable (very Important)

Put this together from the parts I managed to save from being recycled. I've been volunteering at FreeGeek Twin cities and trying to help them with some of their "retro" hardware. If you're interested and in the MInneapolis area, its available in the store right now

pretty nice pc, i especially love the case

i would probably put 2 gigs of ram in though. it would make web browsing less of a pain
though i dont think an athlon xp would be very practical for web browsing anyway

Will keep in mind, I'll take a look at my DDR stash when I go back next.

Nice rig! Please see if you got a faster AGP card lying around, a FX 5200 doesn't scream 2003 gaming, especially not the 64 bit version on PCI bus.

Trust me, it's my biggest annoyance with the rig. I swear, half the cards I find in this place are FX5200...
