Hey guys.
Planning on a new build around the 440BX chipset and Pentium3.
However the dillema starts here:
->one 320GB SATA HDD with a SIL 3114 controller
vs
->two 80GB IDE HDD, RAID 0 using a Promise Ultra100 TX2

In both cases, the total hard drive capacity goes way over 137GB. Could never install Windows 98 in these situations, even when I tried to partition manually using Partion Magic 8 or other tools.

Regarding the hub, I currently have a USB KVM hooked up to my main computer like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Port-250-MHz-USB-2 … cCeu-:rk:6:pf:0.
When connected to my P4 rig it works flawlessly. However, last time I tried hooking it up to my socket 370 mobo, it didn't work. Is it a USB 1.1 limitation?
Getting a PCI USB 2.0 card will solve this problem?
When I finish building it I will post pictures.
Cheers!

Windows 98SE and Large Hard Drives - Might give an idea for the hard drive work around.

As for the USB hub, I've had no problems running a generic $5 hub on USB 1.1.
Otherwise a PCI card will almost definitely solve your issue.
