I use a similar box as a handy converter to get my older consoles onto the LCDs.

IIRC it was Hauppague WinTV & Radeon 9600XT. These days AIW 9800 PRO.

Why don't you trust it? It was repaired (changed a few capacitors). What Power Supply does need? I was thinking about InterTech Energon 550W. It is good for this build? Also, which year is specific this build?

Also, which year is specific this build?

You can look that up by checking the date of the MB manual, and the release dates of your various parts. Also in this period the cases often have an ink-stamped date inside. Have a look around.

My build is not identical to yours, only similar; same period, same general strength. From my notes:

ASUS A7N8X Deluxe rev2.00 3 ram slots AGP Pro/8X (1.5V only) c2003
nForce2 Ultra 400, nForce2 MCP-T, final BIOS 1008 2004
Athlon XP 3000+ Barton 2167 MHz c2003
ATI AIW 9800 PRO 2003
40 Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 8 6E040L0 c2002
40 Maxtor D740X-6L 6L040J2 c2001
2x 256MB Corsair PC3200
PSU Enermax S2FC2 whisper EG365P-VE ATX12Vver1.2

I haven't much use for this one right now, other than vid conversion. But it amuses me by being similar to this 2003 benchmark machine

My Socket 754 build is quite a bit faster than this but I still approve of every Athlon64 build, 754, 940 or 939. 😎

Update: I cleaned it up. Removed the RGB Strip and the blue LED fan. Also the original hard drive (WDC WD1600JD-22HBC0) had signs of failing, so I replaced it with a Samsung Spinpoint P80 160GB (HD160JJ), which is a good equivalent for the dead Western Digital.
