That's a really nice machine you put together there. Very clean inside great job on the cable management.

Even have AWE covered.
GM is bit lacking without the Roland counterpart though.

Some updates. I changed alot.
First at all i switched the case because i found this baby here:

It was a untouched Pentium 75MHz Socket 5 ESCOM Tower. I picked it up near from me, i dont want risk shipping damage.. Never seen such condition for sale in years.

This was really a lucky catch! Its a complete like new Escom Pentium Tower. It comes without a single scratch, no yellowing, even the Backplate was include first hand!
So i swapped my boards and drives into this new case.
The board was switched to the FIC PT-2007 with intel 430TX chipset and 64MB SD-Ram cl2 10ns
I switched the cpu to the 233MHz MMX. Also another HDD converter was added to the sytem for Win95. Now i can switch on the bios between the two master drives for booting Dos 6.22 / win 3.11 and the other HDD Win95.

A new graphic setup is also installed, Matrox Mystique 220 with Rainbow Runner addon and a Diamond Monster 3d voodoo1 board. The two 3dfx chips got passive cooler stones.

The cooling did a noiseblocker PL2 120 on the front, the cpu got a noctua fan. I checked the temperatures with active cooling on load (playing cybermage ^^), anything is around 37-42C° .
With the ATX PSU the system is really silent.

I swapped the drives for this setup:

- silent 1,44MB Floppy
- Gotek USB Floppy
- Quad Speed CD-ROM for CD Games
- 16x Slot in Pioneer for install and copy

I used a Roland SC-88Pro for GM before but the Yamaha addon on the MPU did a really good job, love the GM output.
The solution from Roland to output midi signal and the wavetable board audio same time is really cool and make it easy to use with a mixer.

Here another shot from the finished back, the ATX PSU fits perfect (i just flipped it). Also added USB connectors

That case is sweet that was a hell of a find.

This is an absolutely fabulous setup !!! You should be very proud and use it !!

Some updates done. I add a Noctua NF-F12 Industrial PWM3000 Fan on the bottom. First i installed it on the speaker rack but the airflow is bad there.
Than i restock the pcbs that i have a open bracket on the top of any card.
This was needing some dremel action on the cpu cooler because the length of the isa boards..
With this the fan cools the PCBs and cpu down to 30° celsius on load (this fan is insane on push air.. I tryed some noiseblocker alternative but..).
I also installed the manual fan controller from noctua to keep a level of silent.

I also ordered a diamond Monster 3d2 12MB because i want play Diablo 2 with 3dfx on win95 (for the open slot under the Matrox).
Also ordered the memory adapter from serdaco and a 32MB stick for the Awe64 gold wavetable. If someone want the 8MB creative memory modul, let me know..

Beautiful case - Escom and Vobis were the bargain contenders of the mid 90ies in Europe.

Yes,i agree this is really a beautiful case.
The only thing is... it's some kind of upgaded with parts, non-period correct, but this is a matter of taste.

Here are the original specs:

Pentium 75 / 90 / 100 ,
8 MB RAM,
540MB or 1000MB IDE HDD,
1MB DRAM PCI VGA.
MSDOS 6.22 + Windows for Workgroups

As i remember this Tower was sold at least until end of 1995 with the P133 as max config. My father bought one before christmas with a P120 as the P133 was available. And he chose a Mirage P64 with 2MB in his config. Very nice housing for a Pentium build.

And i believe Escom was broke in 1997 as the Pentium MMX was released.

Yes after the disaster with commodore they closed the doors. But back in the days it was pretty good quality stuff they sold against the big like media markt in germany.
My system was the 75MHz option. I still have the board with 8MB RAM , Trio S3 64 and the 540MB HDD.
It swapped the voodoo1 for a voodoo2 12MB, the AWE64 got a memory modul 32MB and i reorder the boards. So i got a really nice airflow between each board.

At all i see this as finished. Im happy with the 2 SSD setup booting a Dos 6.22 with midi or Win95 for the later 1998-2000 3dfx games.
The PT-2007 is a really awesome AT board.
