Setting the display to the actual MHz was a nice touch! did that takes lots of trial and error, or did you find some documentation?

thank you and it was trial and error and moving the jumpers around until it said the actual mhz, took about 5 mins 😀

So you've finally decided to have a stronger CPU (I remember that you've asked for something faster than V1 and TNT2 M64 for your P233). Good choice.
Have you noticed any issues with TNT? Some people says that AGP cards cause often troubles on SS7 ALI/VIA mobos.

Pentium 4 2.4C, ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe, 1 GB RAM, GF FX5700 128 MB AGP, SB Audigy, Chieftec GPS-400AA-101A, Win XP SP2
Celeron 400, Compaq Garry, 128 MB RAM, Voodoo Banshee, ALS100 Plus+, Compaq 200 W, Win 98SE

i did have to downgrade the clock speed of cpu below 300mhz (something like that) with the jumpers and then installed windows 95 then appiled the k6-2 patch and move jumpers back to normal clock speed

i haven't noticed any issues with agp with ss7 ali chipset, i installed the usb supp first and then agp driver for mobo (windows 95 only and had to be osr 2.5) before graphics driver and voodoo drivers

the only other issue i had with when installing latest ref drivers for voodoo 1 gave a black screen on boot - i used the version before and works fine

This thread made me remember my AT case with a Socket 7 board that had a Pentium 200 MMX CPU in it. Unfortunately it broke down and I got rid of it way before I got the "retro hardware" bug. The case was somewhat similar to this one, but if you asked me what motherboard was in it, I wouldn't remember now. Not even sure if it was the regular Socket 7 or the Super variant.

I think it was the same for me as with the first "family" pc we had when i was kid was a packard bell (around 1996/1997) and of course got rid it when it became outdated and upgraded to a new computer (if only we knew when we were kids 😀)

I did originally wanted to rebuild my childhood pc when i caught retro pc bug but what came of it was the original win95 build (which specs was better and faster that the packard bell i had when i was kid) and now this version
