This PC has a long and interesting history. It is not a "retro build" as most of my other builds but actually my PC from 2006. Except I've upgraded almost every part of it, including the case and the motherboard, so no part of the original PC remains. Hence the name: this PC is a ship of Theseus. I didn't sell the old parts, just put them in the old case and it eventually became a second computer - "Lazarus".

First, my build from 2002 which I sold to build this PC in its original iteration:
Gigabyte P4Titan 533 GA-8IGX motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 1.8A SL66Q (Northwood)
512Mb DDR DRAM (two 128 sticks, one 256, all different brands)
Creative Sound Blaster Live! CT0100
GeForce2 MX200 32Mb
Seagate Barracuda 40Gb 7200RPM PATA HDD

This is what I replaced it with:
Asus P5B (Intel P965) motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 HT 631 (Cedar Mill)
1Gb DDR2 800MHz
Onboard audio
GeForce 6200GT 128Mb
Seagate Barracuda 80Gb 7200RPM SATA HDD

And this is the PC in its final form:
Asus P5Q Pro (Intel P45) motherboard
Intel Core2Quad 9400 2.66GHz
4Gb DDR2 800MHz (Crucial Ballistix Tracer)
Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Championship Edition
GeForce 8800GT 512Mb
Kingston A400 128Gb SATA SSD

Overall, I think it can handle any 32-bit Windows and also play games from Vista/Windows 7 eras, but I like the hardware accelerated audio features and keep it strictly XP 32-bit. And yes, it can run Crysis.
