I'm trying to make some 3d looking placks with 3d looking pipes joingin them. I've been messing with a unix based ray tracer called Moonlight. I think it can do the job, but the UI is making me swear a lot.

A Unix app has a UI?!! (HHOS)

Figured the UI (or the excuse for one), but then found that there were plenty of nice bugs, which like to throw stuff away just as I nearly have what I want.

Now using Xara-x

You're familiar with Xara 3D, I presume? If you exported a 2D version from Xara X, Xara 3D would most likely make a very nice 3D logo out of it...
