VOGONS

Just wondering about a statement I saw in one or more of the threads. Some folks said they could get OpenGlide to run DOS games and I'm just wondering if there is some trick or other or even just a Howto about it. Thanks.

EDIT: Ooh, if anybody knows whether or not Build engine based games do alright with OpenGlide, let me know that too. Thanks.

Glidos maps the DOS glide calls to Windows Glide calls. It needs a glide2x.dll to work. If you have a voodoo card, it will use the standard driver, if not it will use OpenGlide as a wrapper. Glidos costs $10.

In the PC emulation forum there is another (free) DOS Glide wrapper written by Dege.

IIRC, the Build engine is software only.

the releases were software-only, but for blood and shadow warrior there were 3dfx-ports for DOS released in the latest additional beta patches...
