GliDOS is for running DOS Glide titles in Windows, both of the Jane's titles that you mention are Windows titles.
The better question would be "Does OpenGlide work with the Glide modes of Janes Longbow II and Janes F-15?", so I'm moving the post to the OpenGlide forum.
Anyone that has these games and can test them please submit a compatibility report. Thanks!
Yes, it’s my fault.
Even with great tweaking of the .ini files they do not. And F-15 will not even let you select Glide unless the Glide2.dll is in the Windows\System directory.

That's a perfectly acceptible place for Glide2x.dll to be. However, the inability to get these games to work is bad. Fabs, Paul, one of you needs to publicly release a debug version that we can direct people to. Hell, upload it in the GliDOS > Files section for all I care, just put it somewhere. 😀

Unless you're a Voodoo3/4/5 user.

It's already there, on Sourceforge. Update, damnit. 😀

I have glide2x.dll in the windows/system directory
Glide is available from the options screen
When I try to enter the game (clicking fly from the instant action option) I get the message box...
Error loading symbol "guMovieStart" from glide2x.dll
Does this help you ? (and do you know how to stop it ?)
When I click ok I still get into the game, but it has reverted to software mode
hey Farten, thanks, I will search info on this function.
