Well I finally managed to get EMM386 to run ok without error but when I try and run SoftMPU, it still asks for EMM386.

Hi, could you post the contents of your your config.sys please. What version of Windows are you running?

Not sure if the Win 3.1 EMM386 is recent enough, SoftMPU requires EMM386 4.46 or later. Best to use the one in C:/DOS instead.

Also you may need to add either RAM or NOAUTO to the EMM386 command line depending on whether you want EMS or not.

Changing it to the DOS path seems to have done the trick, however the MT-32 isn't responding. No "SoftMPU" text on the matrix display. Not too fussed about EMS for the time being, might look into it later though.

Got the MT-32 hooked up correctly? Midi out from PC to MIDI In on MT-32?

*facepalm* Ofcourse, MIDI you meant to connect In -> Out and visa versa. Easy to forget! (For me atleast).

Many thanks I can confirm that it works superbly on my CT3600 AWE32 with Monkey Island 2! 😀

Now I got to figure out why so many of my other games are saying i'm low on memory (32Mb is installed)...

Probably low on conventional memory, try running memmaker.

Just to clarify, you only need SoftMPU loaded for the games in this list: https://github.com/bjt42/softmpu/wiki/Compatible-Games

Other games will work with your AWE32 without SoftMPU.

Just ran MEMMAKER and seemes to have fixed some but many games still say i'm out of RAM. Maybe I need to get a pair of 32Mb SIMM's.
