Hi. I am running windows 8.
FIrst, I am tried to install BassMidi driver and then I installed Munt WIn32 driver 1.0.0.0. and it replaced Microsoft GS wave table synth or removed. I removed both (Bass Midi and Munt) and I can't play midi without Gs wave table synth. Where can I restore the gs wavetable synth back?

Hi.

You need to check whether there is a corresponding entry in the registry path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32. Initially, Windows creates an entry "midi" with value "wdmaud.drv". Some installers of user-land MIDI drivers consider this a garbage and may overwrite it. In Windows 8, GS synth cannot work without this entry. BTW, it must be named exactly "midi", names like "midi1"..."midi9" will not make GS synth work.

Same applies to Windows 7. If your system isn't 32-bit but 64-bit, the above applies to the 64-bit user-land drivers. The configuration of 32-bit drivers resides in the corresponding WOW entry.
