Does anybody know of where I can find the upgraded driver / patch Roland MT32 for Red Storm Rising by Microprose?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuN2fl-6NBk

Archive.org has a partial archive of at least what was on Microprose's old FTP, but the files themselves don't seem to have been archived.

"MPSROL.ZIP" contains the Roland upgrade drivers for the older MPS titles. I tried finding a copy some years ago, but didn't get anywhere.

You might ask the video owner if he'll share the necessary RSOUND.RSR driver from his installation. I'm baffled as to why he didn't just offer it.

A user on the forum supposedly created a torrent with most of the Microprose FTP content:
Preservation of historical ftp site content
The torrent looked dead when I scraped it, so maybe contact the user through the email address on their forum account.

Here ya go. It's complicated, but I (kinda sorta) got it from that guy's torrent.

I'll go to that thread to explain.

Yep! Thank that "Yellow Horror" guy who attempted to reconstruct MicroProse's FTP, though it seems he still has some work to do. And thank Cloudschatze's memory of the filename. And leileilol for remembering "hey, I think someone posted something about that recently..." 😀

For what it's worth, if a website had a HTML interface for an FTP site, then it's entirely possible Archive.org has a copy.

The best trick is to learn the "asterisk" trick - put an asterisk at the end of the URL on archive.org that you're investigating.

Example:
instead of http://web.archive.org/web/19980222091937/htt … e/new-versions/
try:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.micro … ftp/mps-online/*
or
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://ftp.micro … ftp/mps-online/*
