Hi, is there anyone out there who can help. I want to use my MT-32 with a midi accordion but the sound is pitched 2 octaves too high.There is no means of changing these settings on the accordion. I have MIDI OX installed in my ME windows via the games port but beyond that I don't know where to go. I really need a (midi for idiots) version to explain in simple terms how to edit the programmes.The manual mentions key shift plus or minus 24 if this is any help. Thanks for your time George Caldwell

I use MIDI-OX a lot, but usually only for simple connecting of devices. I just played around with it though and I think I figured out a solution. Try this:
- In MIDI-OX, open Options->Data Mapping
- Hit Insert
- Set the top row of settings to: Any, NoteOn, 24, 127, -1, -1
- Set the bottom row to: Match Input, Match Input, 0, 103, -1, -1
- Make sure all other boxes are unchecked
- Hit OK
- Check the box "Turn Map On (after OK)

What that will do is subtract 24 (two octaves) from the any note with a pitch number between 24 and 127 (the highest possible value) before passing them to the output device.

If it works, post a recording - I didn't even know that MIDI accordions exist!
