I need to mount a folder as cd-rom but I always get this error
dosbox_nomount_error_2008-02.06.png

if I use imgmount there is no problem but I need to mount a folder.

Why does imgmount work and mount not?

I'm running winXP and dosbox 0.72

the paths for mount are for your real drives. not emulated ones.
imgmount works on both, because that is handy

But this would also be handy for "mount".

Well I would expect that imgmount and mount would work the same way,
so I don't have the possibility to mount the emulated directories without using real paths,
that's too bad.

mount c : .\. works with relative paths.
but using mixed paths with mount is troublesome as they are to look a like.
which one should be mounted in which case

Well then bad luck.

Yeah that really helps.

Sure but imgmount already does this, I can think of two ways

1st if a path was not found on the host try the emulated one (or vice versa)
2nd if the filename is not 8.3 then it must be a real one

mount c : .\. works with relative paths.

This way I can mount the folder but the game does not start correctly after pressing the play button the screen stays black, when I use the image it will work correctly, is there any difference between "mount -t cdrom" and "imgmount -t cdrom"?
