Okay, so the computer with the problem is a Vista comp, and the keyboard is (I would assume, given that I'm a US citizen and the computer was bought in the US from a US based company) US layout.

Symptoms of problem:
1. Shift has no effect. (all keys which function are the same regardless of shift being held down/capslock being set or not)

2. Some keys do not type the correct symbol. (] is [, \ is ])

3. Other keys do not function. ([, ', =)

So, yeah, help please? 😜

/me gleefully watches as those damn imperialistic Americans now have to face the same kind of problems he had 25 years ago when trying to use US-only programs and OS's with his Danish keyboard and printer...

Is there a known solution for this problem?

The instructions for Dosbox tell me to type a \, but the ability to make my keyboard produce that symbol seems non existent.

Somebody on another thread said that it worked after he installed the
correct keyboard driver, or maybe check the SDL_VIDEODRIVER setting
(search the forum for that).
