I am an old DOS programmer and am delighted to find DOSbox since installing Vista. However, I need the + sign, = sign and quotes, none of which I seem to be able to assign to another key. I successfully reassigned the \ key. Any suggestions?

Undo whatever you "assigned" and check the keyboard layout stuff (README).

http://projects.freedos.net/keyb/ doesn't exist; I see no info on DOSBox-integrated layouts and I do have a US keyboard. If I had not assigned the \ to a "q" I would not even be able to access my disk drives. Meanwhile, I will continue copying +'s and ='s from other parts of my code when I need them.

Please read the readme and don't use any external keyb. The latest freedos
keyb is buggy anyways (they know it but don't care).
