In WinXP/Vista, try mounting your drive to n: and then do Start->Run->cmd and then at the prompt do a dir n:\

Maybe that will give a clue.

Thanks guys for all your help..what ultimately worked was h-a-l 9000's suggestion:

mount e \\[source]\backups\iso

or

mount e \\[machine name]\backups\iso

I can also imagemount the same way.

I don't know why I can't refer to it as the Mapped network drive N in windows which is accessable through a cmd line but thanks to all your help I'm able to mount files from my network drive. Thanks much for helping me out, it was really mostly a user error on my part...

Another interesting note the machine I'm having this problem with is a Vista 64bit OS. My laptop Which runs XP Pro I just realized can connect normally like :

mount d n:\iso

Is it a Vista thing?
