Hello guys!
First of all im really sorry for such a stupid request, but i would like someone, who has time, to explain me in details how to run one game with dosbox - how to mount everything and etc. Im speaking about oldtime baseball for those who know what to do.
the problem is that after mounting a cue file, installing the game from virtual cd-rom drive and starting it from a newly created folder on disk C it keeps asking to check the cdrom and press any key to continue.

You're welcome to post here in my thread or send me a private message.

Read my 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox (and don't just read it - follow it too).

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

Reading the aptly named README file will be a good idea too.

well, i will try to explain everything in details.
i downloaded this game from a torrent site. installed dosbox and daemon tools. mounted a .cue file with daemon tools. the game - its folders and setup appeared on drive i - virtual cd-rom. then i created a folder - c:\dosgames. mounted it with dosbox.. and.. have no idea what to do next.
if just to install the game to disk c from the virtual drive i and run, it always says: check ur cdrom and press any key.
that's why i need to know what i should do next. from what i found out - i need to work only in dosbox by typing different commands there.
but.. well...have no idea how to.
if someone is able to explain i would be really grateful.

Read the readme.txt that comes with DOSBox. Hint: You're supposed to mount the CD image from inside of DOSBox using its imgmount command, not outside of DOSBox using Daemon Tools.

Also, asking for help with illegally-obtained games is a no-no here. You probably won't get much/any support with that.

Since you are using an illegal copy I suggest you take your questions to the place you obtained it. Experience tells me, that your problem is not caused by a problem with DOSBox, but with how the copy was made.

The question you need to ask yourself now is this:

Is my time spent in getting this illegal copy to work in DOSBox worth more to me, than the costs of buying a legally licensed copy of the game on eBay, Amazon or some other reputable site?

Anyway, thanks for help guys. At the same time i wonder - how many people on this forum get old game from the 90s for money? That's what you probably need to ask yourself first.
