Hi, I'm new to the forums, just registered and I have a quick question... not sure if anyone can answer it because it's pretty vague. I just recently got KQ5 to work on my DOSBOX, BUT it seems I can only get it to run when I re-download the whole game (2 CD's.) Is their any way I can enter the game without downloading it again? I cant find any ''Directory'' that will allow me to access the game I already have on my PC. Sorry for the stupid question 🙁 I grew up on a macintosh.

Alright I fixed my first problem. Now I'm having trouble with the CD's. It's telling me I need CD 2 in the drive. Even when I have it in, it cannot recognize it. Not sure If I should scratch the whole idea and go to a virtual CD so I can have both CD's in at once?

Read the readme. There is a magical key combination to refresh cache.

Shilaundril, I think you're confusing the word "downloading" with "installing"?

King's Quest 5 was only on 1 CD, unless you're talking about one of the collections and you're trying to run the game from the cd instead of installing it which obviously won't work.

Not sure why it was giving me problems, but I fixed it. Most of the stuff that I had trouble with was a result of not knowing a lot of the key, console commands. Thanks though guys! Just finished KQ5 and started KQ6, although the ''Opening'' is giving me problems. Could be the sound or audio I installed with the game. 😲

It could be, I'm running vista (64-bit). I reinstalled the game with the '1' settings for audio/music and the opening scene now works. My only complaint is when I go to save a game it runs kinda sluggish.
