I use an older version of a programing language which runs only on Windows 98(I have old projects), then to retrieve the directory projects must go through the network or software (VHD), but dosbox use a local folder so it is feasible and simple

You can only install Windows 9x on Dosbox by using a disk image, too. This is probably the reason for your error as well. You cannot use a local folder.

You should try and install it in Virtual PC. Virtual PC allows installing Virtual Machine Additions, wich enables folder sharing with the host computer. It also has better video drivers, and internet accessability.
