I am looking for the best video model to support a 800x600x256-color configuration for Win16 along with where to find the Win16 driver for it on the internet. I also want to use high-color and higher-resolution 256-color modes. Finally, I want to have extended SVGA text modes for DOS programs, i.e. 132x25, 90x25, 132x43. Any ideas?

I am talking about the hardware emulation setting in the DOSBox settings for Win16.

Then did you not see the guide at Windows 3.1x DOSBox Guide ?

The drivers discussed therein allow for 1024x768 and 64k colors.

As for SVGA text modes, you may require an SVN build of DOSBox, as discussed the last time you brought this up.
