HI Everybody!
I am on gentoo linux and i successfully managed general midi with emu10k1 in single use, but no i have multiple sounddevices and i want to use hw:4,1

amidi -l lists:

1Dir Device    Name
2IO  hw:4,0    EMU10K1 MPU-401 (UART)
3IO  hw:4,1    Emu10k1 Synth MIDI (16 subdevices)
4IO  hw:4,2    Emu10k1 Synth MIDI (16 subdevices)

aplaymidi -l

2 32:0    SB Live! [Unknown]               EMU10K1 MPU-401 (UART)
3 33:0    Emu10k1 WaveTable                Emu10k1 Port 0
4 33:1    Emu10k1 WaveTable                Emu10k1 Port 1

but mixer /listmidi doesn't give ouputs

normally timidity is listed when started in runlevel default??

my dosbox.conf is:

1#mpu401=uart
2mpu401=intelligent
3mididevice=alsa
4#midiconfig=1
5#device=alsa
6#config=128:2
7config=33:0

aplaymidi --port=33:0 /home/shorty/webseiten/dsa/dsa.mid

plays the file !!

any suggestions?

multiplayer?

mixer /listmidi doesn't work on linux.

just add midiconfig=33:0

general midi can't be found ... even soundfont is loaded

multiplayer?

mmh strange: ravenloft does not but dungeon hack works with gm

multiplayer?

That's weird: Ravenloft supports GM while Dungeon Hack does not (it's MT-32) so...it may work, but the music will be off...
Is the right MIDI port configured for Ravenloft?
