Everytime I change to fullscreen mode I get a black screen and Dosbox freezes. I already tried to set the folllowing settings like:

Fullfixed=true
fullwidth=300
fullheight=200
Aspect=true
Scaler=advmame2

But none of them helped....
These settings did help on the CVS Build 22-01-2004.
What should I do?

your fullscreen 300 200 is a bit small. try 640 x 480
aspect should be false.

futher update your video drivers.

None of them helped really. I already have the lastest video drivers. I made the changes to my config file but i still get a black screen. And the funny thing is that that Dosbox still freezes when hitting the alt-enter key.

output=surface ?
try an other output then.

As last resort try the SDL.dLL provided with dosbox 0.60

When tried an other option at surface like OpenGl I got a white screen. Also tried to copy an older sdl.dll from Dosbox 0.60 but that didn't cure the pain. Maybe it's now to early for it but maybe I have just to wait for a CVS build of Dosbox 0.62....hopefully that turns out to work out for me.

Same problem here. In fact, if I copy the sdl.dll from 0.61 to the 0.60 folder, DOSBox 0.60 still runs fine.

I don't know if this helps but maybe it has someting to do with to sdl.dll file. I downloaded the latest from http://www.libsdl.org/index.php it did't work for me, but it may work for you....

It appears DOSBox 0.61 requires (a recent) OpenGL support to work at all, whether you use it or not. I hope this is fixed.

That might be it; OpenGL support on my ATI AIW Pro card hasn't been too good, in my experience.

Perhaps I shall try the Linux version.
