anyway why run notepad in DOSBox? What would that accomplish? You don't even have a clipboard buffer with the host operating system.

And then there's the really old version. 😉
i prefer microsoft EDIT than Windows Notepad,
earlier version of Notepad (up to win 9.x version?) can't handle file larger than 2^16 -1 bytes.

Not even Windows 7 x64's notepad can handle large files...
They fixed it.
