I am running Windows 3.11 for Workgroups on Dosbox and I am curious if there is a way to turn on general midi. I have the sb16 drivers installed, but do I need any other drivers for midi?

edit: Also related, how do I increase the volume of the fm synth in windows 3.x using the sb16 drivers?

I tried fiddling around with MIXER settings, but windows 3x automatically resets CDAUDIO, SB, and FM to 58:58. Not so bad for sound effects, but too low for music.

The SB16 drivers for Windows 3.x should install a Win16 mixer application (e.g. C:\SB16\WINAPPL\CTMIXER.EXE) to change volume levels. However, you can use the sbmixer=false setting if you don't want DOSBox's mixer volume levels to be overriden by the SB mixer volume levels.
