I'll be playing a game. Any game.

And after a while, the game crashes to dos prompt saying memory allocation error. Then when i try rerun the program, its says [app] requires [x-number] k to run (and the x being different every time).

i type mem and after running the game, i seem to lose some conventional memory, somtimes over 100 kd of momory.

I tried changed the memsize in the dosbox.conf file, but it does nothing. disabling xms or ems has no effect either.

Specs are:
3.06 p4
1024 ddr ram
250 gig main drive
64 mb geforce 4 440
win xp pro
dosbox .61

Thanks for your help.

Btw, some of the games i play are museum madness or atrain, but i think this problem is universal cause it happens is all my games.

640k was the MAXIMUM conventional memory (segments 0000-A000). You can get another 64k for UMBs, but they were not used for games. I wonder how can a PC get 657k of conventional memory...

i think it's a typo

dosbox report 637 kb

you could try to use loadfix

before starting the game type loadfix -10
