Hello, I have some ALSA problems with getting midi to work for a particular game (thought it is the only one I started playing). On ES: Arena, the game sounds fine with general blaster & sb16, but I would like to test it on midi since I heard it was better. This is one output after booting dosbox: "ALSA:Can't subscribe to MIDI port (65:0) nor (17:0)." Tried to set to something different and it stopped posting the error but the game is still without sound so I don't think it made a difference. Tried changing to oss and alsa from the cfg without effect. I use the freeware from their website if anyone asks, any suggestions?

What are you using for your MIDI synthesizer?

I do not think I use a MIDI synthesizer. Can't find it on the conf and mixer. Where can I find it?

Here's the basics:

If this topic catches the eye of a moderator, I think it should maybe be moved to Millways, but I'm not sure. Still, I doubt it belongs here.

If it's worth it for the mods to move the thread, they'll look after it.
