Hi,

I fired up dosbox on retropie with a fairly standard dell keyboard attached, and the keys are so wrong that I can't get out of dosbox again and have to power cycle.

Is there a recommended way to get dosbox keymappings to be correct? I tried options to force a US keyboard but I didn't notice a difference.

Maybe you should ask the Retropie people?

Possibly, but I think they're just packaging dosbox, and the keyboard mappings on the retropie work fine in general.

i believe you are correct they are just packaging dosbox.

the trick on a pi is to edit the .conf file and change usescancodes to false. it should fix the keyboard in dosbox if you are not running it from X

from memory it should be in /home/pi/.dosbox
