Hi !!

I've been working perfect with DOS Box for a few weeks, but somes days ago I've bough a Notebook with Pentium M Sonoma 1,6 GHz Processor.

The problem is that I can run the DOS Box Emmulator and works perfect, but when I want to close it, the first executable Window close and the main DOS Box Window remains opened and not responding. Why?

Never before I've been this problem with my desktop computer.

Thanks everyone for your help.

P.D.: Here you can see the Specifications for my Notebook...

What version of DOSBox are you running? I remember this happening with old versions - make sure you're using either 0.63 or a recent CVS build.

try swapping SDL.dLL between version

How do you close dosbox ?
ctrl-f9
typing exit
clicking the X on the right top

Water flows down the stream
How to ask questions the smart way!

Thanks for your answer.

I've tryed to close the DOS Box windows with EXIT command and with CTRL+F9 and hapends the same problem: The second window (the first main DOS Box Windows) remains opened.

I've also tried to change the SDL.dll file for one older (version 0.62 for example), and the problem continues.

Do you need more information to find the problem? Thanks again.

Eloy.

Try adding a -noconsole parameter to the shortcut that launches DOSbox and see what happens.

Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

-noconsole seems to have fixed it.
every other way either leaves a CMD window or leaves dosbox resident & con only be terminated thru task manager.

cheers

0.62 does not behave like that - it works as expected.

BTW windows = xp pro sp2
