Sorry for asking you for help, guys, but i have a real trouble!!

I haven't changed any settings in the config. file but sound is still missing in EVERY game. My PC is good enough.

So couldn't you tell me what's the trouble, please??

You have to configure the sound in the game. A sound setup program is usually shipped together with the game.

Yeah. DOSBox emulates a Sound Blaster 16 by default.

Port: 220h
Interrupt: 7
DMA: 1
HDMA: 5

And much more! Just edit your dosbox.conf file to see available options.

8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

Well, thanks, the sound is now working.

But now it stutters!! I have tried to increase the prebuffer, and even set it to 1000, but it didn't help!!

I quess i have to mess up with the cycles, but there is one thing: i don't know what is the optimal number of cycles, beneath which the game will run slow, so i'm afraid to low the number.
And, please, could you tell me what for do you actually need to RAISE the number of cycles?

Well, sorry, but it seems when i change the config.file, nothing changes in the emulator, 'cause when i changed the number of cycles in the file the number of cycles in the emulator itself didn't change!!!

Changes in the config file only take effect after you restart dosbox. To change cycles while running, use Ctrl-F11/F12. Lower cycles until the stuttering disappears, then you are using the best value. One common trick to improve performance is setting "core=dynamic" in the config file. It may crash with some games, however.

Yo, you see, i'm changing the config. file while the emulator is OFF. And when i start it still nothing happens, so i can't change "core=dynamic" and other functions. 😢

The previous post was mine.

And when i tried to low the cycles number while playing, the stuttering stayed even when i set the value of nearly 300. But if i increase the number the game won't slow down till 18000 nearly. The sound stutters, 'cause.
