Suddenly cant type in dosbox

I installed and used dosbox last night, played a bit of Star Control 3, and today i go to do it, and i couldn't type inside the dosbox window
i could hammer anything on the keyboard and nothing would happen
i closed it, reopened it - nothing
uninstalled and reinstalled it - nothing
rebooted - nothing
its as if it suddenly developed an allergy to my logitech mx700 keyboard that i've been using for over a year and i'm using it now to write this posting
any ideas??

Okay, i figured it out, i created a file called mapper.txt because i thought that would be how you could create automatically mounted drives, but when i found out it was for mapping keys, not drives, i abandoned the file
I guess an empty mapping file gives u no keys
