you might want to use less screenshots of adventures.
Else a lot of people will recomend scummvm 😀

Just some of my thougts about it:

  • I would recommend using the same sizes for the screenshots. It looks a bit messy like it is now.
  • The font for the feature text is very blurry and quite hard to read. Try using a crisper anti-aliasing on them.
  • Also the big texts on the bottom of the graphic are a bit thin and have very low contrast in comparison with the grey background. But they have a nice nostalgic touch to them 😀

But I like the approach of some kind of promotional graphics!

You should use some Hercules/CGA/EGA/Tandy screenshot too.

That one looks much better, how about another one outlining features rather than bug fixes? Things like:

*Video Capture
*Scaling CPU speeds
*Support for classic sound cards such as Sound Blaster, Adlib and Roland MT-32

Something along those lines.

That's much better !
Only thing giving me a small headache is the bluish background gradient.
But I guess that's up to individual taste...

And I agree with Dosfreak and avatar_58. Lining out DOSBox's real features rather than the bugfixes would make more sense.
(Who needs bugfixes when there are features which are working fine 😉 )

I only suggest it because everyone is so hellbent on what DOSbox can't do or has trouble with, rather than the great features and things it CAN do. I try to stick up for the damn thing at every chance on the other forums I visit, and for good reason. DOSBox to me IS the future of dos games, whether some people care to admit it or not.

In it you show a picture of Wing Commander Prophacy. This is a relitivly new game and I think it would be way too high end for dosbox to be needed, as is Command and Conqure I think. Prophacy definatly works fine on a normal computor. I beleive you were thinking of the Original Wing Commander which is a popular dos game

here is a pic i found with google

Yeah, WC:Prophecy is a Windows game, but the original C&C should be playable under dosbox on a decent system.

I notice the EGA version of Gauntlet in there. I haven't got the game, so I can't test it, but I seem to recall reading that the EGA version crashes after selecting a character and that only the CGA version is playable. Has this changed?

I find the lightning a bit odd, especially the transition from the brigth Dos spot to the F. There's an ugly transition there, one can see single pixels oO. I like the Font though =)
