I think it uses desktop resolution as default, but I am not sure.

And why 1024x768 is not working? 800x600 is ok.

I get this also, but I've never spent enough time looking at it to work out why since I can start a game windowed and press alt+enter to go full screen and everything is OK. I have a CRT monitor.

I'll play around with the settings later to see if indeed its an issue or if its just my config but, as I said, to me its not an issue as I can go full screen with alt+enter and its fine.

Well I am using a LCD indeed, and my desktop reso is 1280x1024
Now.. Something iteresting happened. I turned on my pc and i went to bathroom for a kickass dump. So i came back and saw my pc with a black screen. So i rebooted and went to safe mode. Oh ok weird stuff all normal.. So I remebered of my issue and just for curiosity ran DosBox and tried on fullscreen.... It worked! So wtf? What's happenin? Video card problems?

Are you saying you ran DOSBox in safe mode, or that you rebooted back to normal mode first?

Wow! that fullresolution 0x0 worked...!! But now i got a little screen on fullscreen =P

Are those dots all over the picture JPEG artifacts, or does he have broken video hardware and/or drivers?

They don't seem to be JPEG artifacts. It's the fullscreen background that seems to be quite broken. He is running DOSBox at 1280x1024 (same native resolution as my LG TFT) but, for some reason, the video mode isn't displaying properly.

got same problems! if something starts to show up in background (e.g. mail notification) And problem with fulscreen seems to be connected to monitor trouble rather than vcard.

these are indeed artifacts from my burnt x700...

heh.. anyway i send the card to ATi so i'm using another pc... that works in fullscreen =P...
