im new to this dos thing, i just wanna play some of my old games. how would i set up the directory if it is in a folder in my hard drive? for example, my hard drive would be x, the folder y and the program z.i've tried many things, including mount c /x/y/ then c: then z. nothing works. can you give me the basics on how to do this? htanks

Okay....

Start DosBox.
You'll see a "Z:\"

Type in "Mount c /"
This creates a virtual "C" and the second "/" is your real "/" on your computer.

Type in "C:" in DosBox
This changes the drive from "Z:\" to "C:\"

Then navigate to wherever your game is using the "CD" command"

"Cd \games\hugo"

Type in name of game....

If typing is too much for you I suggest you look for a program called "D-Fend", it's a frontend for DosBox where you can do everything through the interface. Don't ask me how to use it since I don't use it.

Oops, There is no port of D-fend to OSX so you'll have to use a different frontend. There are frontends for DosBox on OSX I just can't remember their names at the moment.
