Hey,
I just built DOSBox CVS on Linux (Fedora Core 4, KDE, nVidia drivers). It looks great on Linux -- super-smooth, and the window behaves a bit more nicely than on my WinXP setup. The changes I'd been making all work fine too (with the noteable exception that I need to press CTRL-WINDOWKEY-F# instead of CTRL-F#... took me some experimenting to find that).

It exited while I was in fullscreen because I hadn't properly set permissions on an EXE. I then had no control of my mouse cursor in X. I ended up rebooting because I also don't know how to restart X... (ouch)

Anyway, how should I handle the loss of mouse? I figure someone else has seen this during development and has a way of dealing with it.

CTRL-ALT-Backspace will kill the X server and then you can re-start X. If you use GMD you might have to CTRL-ALT-Backspace
the GDM login screen as well.
