And as a tasty chaser to my last post (this is a different issue)...

I've managed to get games to display in the center of the screen in portrait mode, but it only takes up small part of the screen (in full-screen mode).

I'm running WinXP, IRotate with a GeForce 2.
I have modified the following settings in DOSBox (6.3, downloaded today):

fullscreen=true
fullfixed=false
fullresolution=600x800
output=surface

aspect=true
scaler=normal2x

I've fiddled for the last hour toggling output type (between all types - some of which move the picture to the top or bottom half of the screen), in combination with aspect=true/false and scaler adjustments... none of which have been successful.

I'd prefer not to use 'in window' mode, but if that is the only solution, any suggestions on how to make it least obvious?

Thanks all!

Two options come to my mind: Windowed mode with hwscale set so that the window is as big as it can be, and one of the experimental CVS builds with the D3D patch, I've heard that can enforce aspect ratio.
