Just wondering if there are any plans to include any opcodes specific to the 486 and Pentium/PentiumMMX processors to the DOSBox emulated CPU.
Or wouldn't there be any benefit in doing this?

Find a game that uses something not yet supported, and it will be in soon. AFAIK, there are already a few commonly-used pentium opcodes supported, but no DOS game seems to use MMX. Many of the newer opcodes are only used in conjunction with the OS (Win/Linux/...) itself, so these aren't needed either.

At least no speed benefit, as (especially mmx) those opcodes
are rather complex.
Thanks for the explanation, guys. That's cleared things up a fair bit. I suppose the devs should mention what 486 and Pentium parts are supported on the Status page at the official website now.
Just for the history books 😁, "Heaven 7" (2000' demo, intro) uses MMX in it's DOS version (windows version is also included). If started in dosbox, reports no MMX support (EDIT:It is required to run successfully program) 😲
I would also like to add a title that detects mmx in DOS (don't know if it uses it). It is the absolutely outstanding Little Big Adventure 2: Twinsen's Odyssey. 😀
PS: This is not a request for mmx support or anything, I am just contributing. 😉
Extreme Assault does too I think.
Perhaps you should mention if those games work nevertheless. Because if they are, no need to do anything 😉
Magic Carpet displays an intel inside logo at the beginning if it detects a pentium processor
dungeon keeper 1 (dos version) uses mmx but doesnt require it
