When I try and run my executable via dosbox, I get an error message stating not enough memory to run. Now this system has enough memory, but i take it enough hasn't been allocated to dosbox itself? I browsed through the dosbox config file, and found memsize=x, and changed this to a larger number, but when i used 'mem' the amount of conventional memory hadn't changed. Erm any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is the error message from DosBox or from the program that you are trying to run?

Are you using Windows 9x?

You can think of memsize as physical RAM in your PC. When adjusting this range higher then your XMS/Extended/Expanded memory will increase but your conventional memory/upper memory will not increase since they will always allocate 640/384k.

Have you tried running loadfix before executing your program? It's possible that your program doesn't like alot of conventional memory being free so by executing loadfix (which is built into dosbox) before running your program that this will make it work.
