Is there an option to set the volume of the PC Speaker emulation independently from the other emulated outputs (GUS/Adlib/SB etc)?
The reason I ask is this; some games use PC speaker sound effects in addition to Adlib music, for example. With an actual physical PC speaker this isn't a problem, but under DOSBox - where all sound output is mixed together - the PC speaker audio is always WAY louder than everything else (because of its pure square waveform). If I lower the overall volume so that the PC speaker audio is at eardrum-safe levels, I can hardly even hear the music.
To see what I mean, here's an example... try running Wolf3D, with the music (in the sound menu) set to "Adlib" and with sound effects set to "PC speaker".
