I remember from the old DOS days that some games needed a VESA driver like SDD installed/configured in order to run in different resolutions.
Is this also necessary inside DOSBox? I mean, do i have to run a utility like SDD inside DOSBox, or would that give me any kind of advantage (performance, resolutions)?
I've installed Terra Nova - Strike Force Centauri yesterday, and it seems to generate a VESA driver of it's own. With this driver active, however, i can't see anything on the screen, even though the games seems to run OK (i can hear sound and am able to blindly navigate menus etc.).
My bet is that the emulated graphics adapter already has basic VESA support, and i do not need any additional drivers/utilities.
